JIMSÈ FOUNDER AND CEO

UCHKA BATJARGAL JIMSEE

At the young age of 7 years old, Uchka’s enthusiasm for fashion began when she learned how to sew from her Mongolian grandmother and started designing original pieces. Her ability to expand upon her creations heightened as she got older and soon led her to design and sew her own gowns in pageant competitions. Uchka continued her flair for fashion and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, specializing in Fashion Design.

She diversely immersed herself in the industry and worked as a model, actress, and freelance fashion designer in Los Angeles, California. As an independent fashion designer herself, Uchka experienced the initial struggles that every independent designer faces in the beginning with limited finances, resources, and connections. At this point of feeling unsupported and disadvantaged, Uchka found the inspiration to establish Jimsè.

The vision for Jimsè was rooted in the desire to revolutionize the fashion industry through the principles of slow fashion as well as in the intention to empower consumers through education in the importance of mindful shopping. The Jimsè mission is to encourage individual expression while simultaneously providing a platform for independent designers, brands, and local stores to flourish on the global stage. Through Jimsè, Uchka seeks to foster a community where originality thrives and independent designs take center stage.

Discovering Independent Fashion Designers

The independent designers on the Jimsè platform are the changemakers of fashion and are shifting the industry into sustainability with purposeful small-batch creations. Jimsè ensures the marketing and support of designers with their intentional designs.
